IMPROVING FISH ACCESS - Vance Creek - Green Diamond Resource Company - Shelton, Washington.
Vance Creek lies in the Skokomish watershed on Washington’s Olympic Peninsula, where the owners of Green Diamond Resource Company have managed timberland for 110 years. Forest Practice Rules in Washington State require timberland owners to improve forest roads to protect water quality and fish habitat. To date, Green Diamond has removed 124 barriers, restoring access to 65 miles of streams for salmon and other anadromous fish.
