Hello!
I have been photographing beautiful places throughout
North America for over 25 years, both as a hobby and
professionally. As a life long conservationist I have
always been very concerned about environmental degradation
and the health of our forestlands. Over the last 14
years I have concentrated on America's forests and eco-systems
and have investigated many forestry and environmental
issues facing resource dependent communities and companies.
I have covered many issues and literally hundreds of
thousands of miles of public forests, wilderness, National
Parks, private forestland and state forestlands.
Besides working on forestry issues and management
considerations for over 15 professional associations, dozens
of companies and numerous congressional leaders photographically,
I also author video productions in the form of documentaries
on similar topics. What I am frequently asked to do is to work
with top professionals and Ph.D.'s in various fields, like wildlife
biology, fish biology, forest management, hydrology and many
other fields to produce a program that critically examines various
environmental issues and concerns.
As a result of my assignments and evaluations
I have developed our Forest
Calendars that are designed to inform and educate America
about real concerns and what is "really" happening in
our forests and eco-systems. My findings and conclusions have
been very well documented photographically and through interviews
of people directly involved in many of these issues. The results
you might find surprising...... I certainly did. These findings
and reports will appear under my 'Issues
& Information' section of this site periodically so keep watching
for important postings.
Future reports will appear involving:
• Is the Spotted owl in danger of extinction?
• Pacific Northwest Salmon - endangered species!
• Is the Forest Service to blame for the 'Extreme' forest
fires in the west? - 2002
• Is the Timber Industry responsible for the destruction
of our forests?
• Has clearcutting led to the demise of our forestlands?
• Other issues as they are relevant.....
I hope you will enjoy our website.
We have over 130,000 images available in our stock files....
so if you don't find what you are looking for, please inquire......
but please be patient. Over half the time we are out in the
field on assignment, so sometimes it can take a few days before we
can get back with you.
